IEEE GOLD Winnipeg Section Presents: WAA Air Traffic Control Tower Tour
An estimated $572 Million has been budgeted for upgrading the Winnipeg Airport.
The WAA forecasts a major increase in air traffic and revenue in the coming years.
Come and see first hand what it takes to manage the skies at an international airport.
The tour will cover the radar system and control system used in the WAA Air Traffic
Control Tower.

The IEEE Winnipeg Section Annual General Meeting marks the gala social event of
the IEEE calendar. It pairs wine, beer, and complimentary hors d’oeuvres with a
distinguished speaker to mark the annual change in Winnipeg IEEE leadership and
celebrate the accomplishments of the parting executive.

This year the AGM will be held on February 12 at the Winnipeg Art Gallery (see
detailed schedule below). This is an excellent opportunity to learn the current
status of our Section, meet our new Executive and mingle with other IEEE members

We will be conducting a meeting this Thursday to make up for the last meeting, which has been delayed due to conflicting schedules. The meeting will be held at 5:30 in E1-514.

There will be a meeting held at 6:00 PM in E1-514 this Wednesday, November 28. The proposed agenda is as follows:

On Wednesday, October 17, 2007 three presentations are being offered at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg by Dr. Rautio. They are as follows:
9:30am "Thick Metal Models & Which EM Analysis Should I Use" - Room E2-393 EITC
11:30am "The Life of James Clerk Maxwell" - Room E2-160 EITC
3:30pm "Electromagnetics Is Fun?" - Room E3-262 EITC (Senate Chambers)

In order to ensure that only UM IEEE members have access, the UM IEEE Course Archives have been taken off the website. They are still accessible through any of the machines in the UM IEEE lounge or remotely through SCP. If you do not have a computer account or do not know how to use SSH/SCP, please speak to one of the computer managers.

Remember, the course archives exist solely as a study aid. Academically dishonest use of the course archives is strictly prohibited.
