IEEE Winnipeg Section Annual General Meeting

The IEEE Winnipeg Section Annual General Meeting marks the gala social event of
the IEEE calendar. It pairs wine, beer, and complimentary hors d’oeuvres with a
distinguished speaker to mark the annual change in Winnipeg IEEE leadership and
celebrate the accomplishments of the parting executive.

This year the AGM will be held on February 12 at the Winnipeg Art Gallery (see
detailed schedule below). This is an excellent opportunity to learn the current
status of our Section, meet our new Executive and mingle with other IEEE members
from our Section. And, of course, have a little fun in the process.

Our keynote speaker will be Malcolm Symonds (biography below), who will be
speaking on the subject of “Engineering Processes: Reflections on Origins.”

6:15 p.m. Doors open.
7:15 p.m. Meeting begins.
- Report from 2007 Chair
- Introduction of 2008 executive
- Keynote speech.
9:00 p.m. Meeting adjournment.

Please register by contacting Jason Kuyp at jkuyp@ieee.org or by phone at
(204)487-5457 by February 7.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the AGM.
